Bliss is white butterflies, blooming lilac trees and sewing...

Sitting in garden embroidering.. Little Lucy in bed having a snooze.. The sun is out and white butterfly are fluttering in and out of garden! The lilac tree I planted 3yrs ago is blooming and I feel content! Hope u all are having a nice day too xxx

Doctor doctor ... Is there a cure for this illness

Omg went to fabric shop judith told me and got fab stash from a lot they has just aquired from an old lady that has passed away!! Got some gorgeous wool and tweed! They informed me there definitely was no cure for the fabric addiction!

Made a quilt for my husband when I got home using the wool as backing.. It's a bit wonky but I'm hoping it well be well used and loved! Xx

Sew far....

Just a wee sneak at how embroidery is going.. And I'm pleased! Think I will frame this for our hallway when finished!! Really enjoying doing this project as means I don't have to go upstairs to my sewing machine! Even though I love my seeing machine and spending time with it!!! I find it difficult looking after a wee 14 month old rascal.

New ventures!

Ok.. On a Saturday evening I'm sitting with a glass of Pinot grigio and attempting to embroider a picture I really like! Will be interesting to see how it will turn out!! I wonder how other people Saturday evenings are? Xx

Sewing day.. Yippee

Ok, thursday evening is my sewing evening where I go and meet up with all my sewing friend in the fabulous Judith's sewing class! Tonight I made a top for a new quilt I'm making, that started life as a set of table mats but thought a quilt would be more useful!

I also got to use my new pin cushion that is attached to elastic and goes round my arm.. It works delightfully and I think it's going to be a useful make!!! In next few days, weeks I'm on the "hamster wheel" of life.. That is work sleep, eat and prob won't get much sewing done!!! oh well!! Bye for now... Fi x

Ok I've taken the plunge! Started a blog! Being a mum, wife and working full time can mean there's not much time for anything else but I'm making a pact with myself to be more creative and to show more people how creative I am! I love quilting, embroidery and drawing.. And my head is full to bursting point with ideas of what I want to do but don't seem to have the time!! I will post a few pics of my work on my next post but just to say hello fellow bloggers! X
